New to this game....

Hey, first things first. I do not have a fricking clue how to use a bloody blog. Layouts, different tabs....what the hell does this even mean!? I just want it to look the way I want it to!

Anyone fancy giving me any advice? All I want is my pretty picture of Venice to not be tiled across the screen. Just want one large picture,... I would also very much like a little link to each post I write so that you lot aren't bombarded by one kerfuffle of a latest post!

OK, so here it goes...

So, my name is Charlie, Charlotte, Lottie, Char, Lard, whatever you prefer. I'm a 20 something English girl with a passion for all things unknown and exciting. I am however, also, a 20 something English girl bound and constrained by the studyings of a university education. Not to say I don't appreciate my education, I really do. But....

There is so much else out there!

I have so far, spent three years of my life at university, well three and a half if you could where I am at right now. I do a relatively weird degree, Retail if you must know....and no that doesn't mean I shop or want to manage one. It means that theoretically, I'm supposed to be moving through the career attainment ranks to eventually become a board member. Creepy I know!

The thought of working my whole life just weirds me out. Its like, we go through this whole education thing, to go into the working world and try and make something of ourselves, but in a working sense. Call me deranged, but I do not want to spend the rest of my life working. I do not want to live to work, its just not my thing.

So, the method behind my madness of this here white space on the internet. I spent last year working for an olive company, weird again, I know. But this company was kind of born out of travelling- and no, not in a pretentious way, but in a "hey, we got a landy, some motorbikes, a couple of tents and off we set" kind of way. Now, not to say this inspired me to go travelling- using the word travelling lightly here, I haven't actually done that much. But anyway, back on point, so this olive company, being surrounded by these people who had done this and been to so many places, kind of spurred me on to delve into the unknown. In all honesty I think I always had an urge to go, but being immersed in that kind of environment, with constant reminders of the most beautiful places (literally- there were pictures everywhere!) really makes you realise where you want to be.

So off I set with a rather crazy friend of mine, to Asia, with a few backpacks and no idea where we were going to go- not as cool as the whole landy, motorbikes and tent thing, but it was a start. And so is the point of this blog, its a start. Not to give you amazing advice on what to expect when travelling, or the most amazing places to visit- no. People are different, they prefer different places, love different things and have different experiences. This are my experiences, my goals, my sporadic thoughts patterns, of which might just provide some sort of entertainment factor for you.
